Is the award ticket
really worth it?

If you transferred your Trumf points to EuroBonus (the most accessible route for most people), the real cost is about 7.41 øre per point. That means 10,000 points 'cost' you about 741 kroner in Trumf value. If you earn points through flights or credit card use, the value may differ — but the Trumf rate gives a good baseline for comparison.

Calculate the real cost per point (Trumf value) and compare with the cash price for the same trip. The calculator above does this automatically. If the value per point is higher than 7.41 øre, you get more value from the points than it cost to earn them.

The Trumf kroner you transferred to EuroBonus had a cash value. When you use points on an award ticket, you're actually 'paying' with that value plus taxes and fees. Real cost = Trumf value of points + fees.

7.41 øre per point is what it costs to acquire an EuroBonus point via Trumf. If you get more than 7.41 øre in value per point (e.g. 15 øre), the award ticket is worth more than it cost to earn the points.

Generally, yes. Long-haul Business Class tickets often give the highest value per point. Shorter Economy routes may give lower value. Use the calculator to check.

With SAS you usually get checked baggage included on award tickets, even in Economy. You only pay taxes and fees in addition to the points.
